Circle Easel Card - Try Stampin' on Tuesday or Not" #319

This week's challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday or Not is to make a circular or oval card.  My choice was to make not only a circular card, but a circle easel card. The card design is by Vicki.

I used the retired Circle framelits to create the base for the circle easel card and for the various layers.

The large scallop circle framelit was used to die cut the Melon Mambo base.

The next smallest circle size was placed on a folded piece of Whisper White cardstock with the cutting edge just extending over the fold.  When it was run through the Big Shot, it resulted in two circles joined in the center.

To form the Easel, one of the circles was scored and folded in half. In the picture below you can see the folded circle forming a base for the art piece

Another circle of the same size was die cut in Melon Mambo.  This was layered with Basic Black card stock, Touch of Pink DSP, and finally another layer of Whisper White circles.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, the image from "Remarkably Yours"was stamped, coloured with ink pads and a blender pen, and then fussy cut.  It was adhered to the top Whisper White circle and a Thick white Baker's twine bow was adhered to the stem.  The dot stamp from Timeless Texture, stamped in Melon Mambo, created texture around the flower.

The Easel is held in place with a platform which is the sentiment.  The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White, matted with Basic Black and then Melon Mambo.  It is adhered to the base of the Easel with dimensionals.

The card closes and fits into a regular A2 envelope.

Embellishments are made using the Botanical Builder framelits, and have small rhinestones in their centers.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Remarkable You, Timeless Texture
Inks: Black Memento, Rose Red, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Pacific Point
Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Basic Black, Touch of Pink DSP, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Circle Framelits (retired), Botanical Framelits, Thick white Baker's twine, dimensionals, Dazzling Details

Now it's your turn to make something using Vicki's sketch.  When done, upload it to either the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog, or their Facebook Page.  You have 2 weeks, or until May 9 to complete your project.
